Call for manuscripts.

Milk and Honey Press publishes stories that take place in Israel, and that build a positive bond between readers and the characters and places in the stories.

We are particularly interested in manuscripts that:

• are aimed for ages 2 to 8
• have a strong plot
• evoke emotions, particularly humor, pride, and joy
• have compelling writing
• show aspects of Israeli daily life, geography, heroes, accomplishments, or history
• tell stories of Israeli heroism
• can be illustrated with pictures that build positive images of Israel for our young readers, and for their parents as they read the stories to their children.

With regard to illustrations, we look for realistic depictions rather than abstract art in order to build familiarity for readers with Israeli geography and life.
